There's a girl called Radhika, she's an orphan raised by a "pandit" (priest) and his family. She is not allowed to go the the temples because she's an orphan, they think she might be "impure". The grandmother hates her to her bones. They have a 'true' daughter, an irresponsible one whose dream is to becom an actress.

There's a guy, Dev, who comes from a high status family. He falls in love with Radhika and search for her name and all. He is mislead and he is told her name is Vishaka.... (Vishaka is the name of the irresponsible girl, the sister). He demands her family to go meet her dream girl family and ask for her hand.

Everything is set and all but as you can imagine - and how much absurd it can be - he is unknowingly going to marry the sister of the girl he loves. Radhika who also loves him stays silent, thinking he prefers her sister to her. 

THEN - wahahahahaha - the day of the wedding, Vishaka runs out of the house because she never wanted to get married. You have to understand that in India, it is a matter of honour for the family hence the mother puts Radhika at the wedding, and makes them all believe it's Vishaka - try to imagine indian wedings where her face is always hidden behind a "dupatta", a clothe. [okay but in this case it's surreal anyway lol].

So by the end of the ceremony, Dev thinks he is marrying his dream girl (which is doing by the way). Radhika has replaced her sister. For everyone the bride is Vishaka. (And Radhika comes to know that she is the one he wanted to marry but she can't say anything to him). Time of the first couple night, Vishaka comes back (i'll pass about the reason) and takes back her place. Dev unveils her and SHOCK, it isn't her dream girl. "Who are you"? "I'm Vishaka, the one you wanted to marry, am i not ?"......
